1. Though your worries have grown, do not despair,
For God's kindness in the horizons is greater,

2. And none but God can comfort a heart
Seized by sorrow until it is darkened.

3. What you hope for will come to you one day,
So do not hasten it, though it be delayed,

4. Do not despair, and say: O soul, be patient,
For the Merciful Lord has ordained and decreed.

5. He will be kind to hearts and embrace them,
And mend in sorrows what has been shattered.
