1. Tell your soul, if it loses hope
And despair weakens its strength,

2. Trust in God, how many souls have feared
The world, but its Creator was enough for it.

3. How many hearts spend the night hoping in Him
To ease what sadness has met them.

4. Then rain came from a Generous Lord
With kindness and bounty that has no equal.

5. And clothed them in a dress of joy,
As if fortune knew no other but them.

6. The clouds will soon shower us
With good news that has no limit.

7. For the affliction will surely pass
From the world, when it reaches its end.
