4. The sheikh's hearing has become
With its beauty well adorned

5. I adorned in a manuscript
Thus it took the form of a scripture

6. And I adorned its meadow
It came to know and recognize

7. Wearing the genius of its words
A cloak embroidered and lined

8. In the house of its light, its light
Beware it gets snatched away

9. Every happy meaning upon
A letter's branch cheers

10. What a gift, may its bestower
Be rewarded with the finest gifts

11. I stopped, humbled by its softness
At a most exalted, blessed stop

12. It gave me good news that
I am worthy to know it

13. The command came from the Turner
None could turn away from it

14. The honor of religion, most honorable
The eloquent whose words

15. Became channels
And the knowledgeable fulfiller

16. Complete in truth and loyalty
He is the knower who

17. Was most noble among people
He said to me, "Speak," so I spoke

18. As I could find no turning away
That he who forged the verses

19. To the utmost subtlety and concealment
That you may come to know a youth

20. For whom, besides his love, there is no existence
With him, the house is visited

21. And circumambulated
To him, all returns

22. With him, life is pure
And if, along with love, there is nothing

23. Then it is purity
He, in every state

24. Is truthful and loyal
And if some of it remains

25. It is an affected residue
What remains of its ruling

26. Has arranged and disposed
With it is nearness and intention

27. To it belong union and separation
It is the humiliation and discontent

28. To it belong might and healing
And if the lover, in love

29. Is tried, then is healed
And if he is lowly, he is mighty

30. Or betraying, then loyal
And if his state with it

31. Becomes difficult and denying
Then with love, the rule of what

32. Was poured into love, he loaned
Indeed, the Lord of Beauty

33. Ah, when He grants or pardons
