1. I was saddened when the Roman army arrived,
But one like me does not despair in adversities,
١. جزعت لان جيش الروم وافى
ومثلى ليس يجزع فى الخطوب
2. My sorrow is not for anything, except that
I fear for my beloved from the enemy.
٢. وما جزعى لشيء غير أني
أخاف من العدو على الحبيب
