1. My longing for you is like my love for you
It always increases whether you are present or absent

2. And my heart becomes tenderer towards your connection
While my body becomes emaciated and my tears flow

3. I swear your right upon me has not dried my tears
The morning breeze kindled a fire in my heart

4. No, but the anxiety of yearning for you
Does not settle in the heart which resides in the heart

5. And I, whom no one asks what the loved ones did to me
Or what blame did they put on me

6. O you who brings me close with remembrance and prohibition
And distances me from them with concerns from them

7. And my request to reach them has ended
So now I have no desire except them

8. I am totally inclined towards you but am prevented
By your greatness from saying to you

9. So longing makes me perplexed while my fate imprisons me
And my heart calls for help while my limbs accuse

10. Towards the abode of your beauty I wander
Responding to the call of passion and depriving myself of other than you

11. I always stand at your door of generosity
Asking for admission while my poverty necessitates

12. And I justify my heart with a shining glimpse
From your cheeks or a breeze you inhale

13. Glory to the beauty of your perfect beauty that you do not make
My hopes and sorrows to be my share of you

14. Quenching the thirst of Nu'man with the sweetest wine
With landmarks in it of rubble and Zamzam

15. And the dwellings of intimacy at Al-Aqiq I love
And my Lord raised over it the family of Ali settled

16. With the clamor of pilgrims at its slopes
Rejoicing when they approach it and bid farewell

17. Through it I attained success in the two abodes when
I fulfilled your service and I was and you were

18. My master what can I say and what
Can I strew in your sublimity and compose

19. Through you, description is majestic, not you through it
And the pillars of highness stand as long as you stood

20. I did not mention your noble name out of jealousy
That any mouth should utter it except mine

21. If I exaggerate, I would fall short
In praising you, so sticking to my inability is more submissive

22. And if I imagine the utmost rank in praise
You are still above what is imagined

23. O my reliance for tomorrow and my day which
I use to establish rules for time and make firm

24. Bestow favor upon one whose predestined lot prevented him
From approaching the most generous side

25. And ordained upon him to separate from your shade
Forcibly, by circumstances that are generous and that dictate

26. Thirsty of heart, for the sweet water in expressing love
Past, the sword of passion enticing, infatuated

27. Return your care upon my weakness with a look of mercy
For you are the stars of guidance

28. Make your existence permanent and be gentle, compassionate
Pray, be tender, seek refuge, and have mercy

29. I ask with humility for a small piece
Through which my insignificant destiny may rise and be depicted

30. And a behest from you by which my deeds may be good
And guide me to what I do not know

31. So if you impart to my poverty from your care
A share I will always gain from the profitable

32. May God never deprive existence of your existence
And provide you with what you have attained

33. Grant me from you felicities by which
My hopes from you always promise me
