I strayed from my goals in my livelihood

2. And time has despaired me of reviving myself
That is because I am always preoccupied

3. With conditions that undo the ties of my ardour
And thoughts that tear apart the daughters of my heart

4. And travels for which my bed is my carriage
Oh where is an abode I can rein in my travels

5. And unload some threadbare bags from my livelihood
Oh how free when my feathers are gathered

6. I wish it for the blossoming of the meadows
So whoever has a living that is lost
