1. Your father is generous, yet you surpass
Him without reproach or blame.
١. أبوكَ كَريمٌ غيرَ أنَّكَ سابِقٌ
عَليهِ بلا ضَيْمٍ عليهِ ولا ذَيْمِ
2. So let not people be astonished at his words
And judgments, for rain is more bountiful than clouds.
٢. فلا يَعْجَبَنَّ النَّاسُ مِمّا أقوالُهُ
وأقضي بهِ فالغَيْثُ أندى مِنَ الغَيمِ
