You amassed only those who come and go.

2. So you live in fear of the plunder of plunderers,
The tricks of schemers, and the plots of ambushers.

3. When eyelids sleep, you stay awake,
Fearing the night’s darkness with eyes kept open.

4. Why not acquire lasting goods for which
There is permanence throughout endless time?

5. Spiritual virtues none can rightly guide
Himself to rob from their owner by guile.

6. They are knowledge, piety, courage and refuge;
Generosity with wealth, and thought for tomorrow.
