1. Disregard what people say and find fault with,
Don't let what they exaggerate or criticize sting you.

2. For all people are enemies of what they're ignorant of,
And no one can fully protect themselves from slander.

3. Either you couldn't make them happy with your wealth,
Or you find they've fallen short of the virtuous.

4. Whoever has wealth of wisdom and riches of their mind
Will not be shamed by poverty of their wallet.
