1. A friend whose thanks are absent

١. صَديقٌ لَنا شكرُهُ غائبٌ
ولكنَّ كُفرانَهُ شاهِدُ
2. Sincere in speech and mind is he
Yet sick in conduct, and corrupt his strategy
٢. صحيحُ الجَوارحِ والعَقلُ منهُ
مريضٌ وتَدبيرُهُ فاسِدُ
