1. Let me wander through the lands seeking
The grace of wealth, if it does not flee from me,
١. ذَرْني أسِرْ في البِلادِ مُبتَغِياً
فَضْلَ ثَراءٍ إنْ لم يَفِرْ زانا
2. For the grapevine, though it be the lowliest thing,
When it spreads, becomes vines.
٢. فَبيْذَقُ النَّطْعِ وهْوَ أحقَرُ ما
فيهِ إذا سارَ صارَ فِرْزانا
