A time of filial impiety, not a time of rights.
١. عفاء على هذا الزّمانِ فإنَّهُ
زَمانُ عُقوقٍ لا زَمانُ حُقوقِ
2. Every companion in it is unfaithful,
And every friend in it is untrue.
٢. فكُلُّ رَفيقٍ فيه غَيرُ مُرافِقٍ
وكُلُّ صَديقٍ فيهِ غَيرُ صَدوقِ
