1. When Allah decrees a matter,
Its edges draw near you.
١. إذا قيَّضَ اللهُ أمراً دنَت
عليكَ مسافَة أطرافِهِ
2. And if He decrees hardship in an aspiration,
Then who can help you with His aid?
٢. وإن يقضِ بالعُسرِ في مطلَبٍ
فَمنْ لكَ يَوماً بإسعافِهِ
