1. Whoever thinks that wealth brings honor
Know that his riches are endless poverty
١. مَن ظَنَّ أنَّ العُلا بالمالِ يجمَعُهُ
فاعلَمْ بأنَّ غِناهُ فَقرُهُ أبَدا
2. So be content with knowledge and piety
And be a man who hopes in none but the Sustainer of the worlds
٢. فاستَغْنِ بالعِلمِ والتَّقوى وكُنْ رَجلاً
لا يَرتَجي غيرَ رزّاقِ الوَرى أحَدا
