1. A servant's gift is to his measure
And the aim is that the master accepts it
١. هدِيَّةُ العَبدِ على قَدْرِهِ
والقَصدُ أن يقبَلَها السَّيِّدُ
2. Do you not see the eye in its excellence
Accepts what the affectionate presents to it
٢. أما تَرى العَينَ على فَضلِها
تَقبلُ ما يُهدي لَها المِرْوَدُ
