1. Zafar son of Abdullah is more generous
Than those who try to equal him in generosity

2. A free man who fulfills his promises to his friend
And the free man is faithful

3. Yet I complain of the stabbing of love
And the stabbing of passions

4. A complaint of burning passion but what
Can cure it except meeting him as a healer

5. So may he keep his pledge steadfast
Lest it be shaken by estrangement

6. And may he water the plant of his loyalty
And purity with the watering of friendship

7. And may he follow the old goodness
With new pure goodness like honey

8. Verily those who come with true love
