1. When troubles befall me, I flee to unveil them
To my Creator, not to any dear friend

2. Truly, one who remains self-sufficient, though needy
With trust in Allah, is not to be blamed

3. How often ease comes after hardship
And a heavy gloom is dispelled for the anguished

4. Such is time - one day of misery and hardship
Another of joy for the lad and bliss
