1. God has blessed us with this fish
That was once queen of the sea's abyss

2. I would ransom the hand that caught her
And wove the net she got stuck in

3. They brought her to us on a platter
Our eyes fixed on her every fin

4. Soon our glutton drooled for her
Eager to devour her plump chin

5. And wished, a secret between us
To brave her alone in the battle's din

6. But saw the shame, so here instead
Preferred sharing over selfish sin

7. Just like the soul that craves alone
Will not settle for less than queenship

8. I'll not forget the generous kitchen
That blessed us with plenty and friendship

9. For the young man from House Hubaysh
Our gratitude for him we evince

10. A gracious host, true friend, his way
To praise travels but one route - give and give!
