1. Trust in Him who has power over all creation
In your hands lies expansion and constraint

2. However tight their plots,
You make the knot's undoing

3. How oft the cur exposes his ugliness
By barking at the full moon, but bites it not

4. Iblis made their sins seem fair to them
So they thought obeying him a duty

5. In their ignorance they sought to deny
The bounty you spread over the land

6. Unaware that the debts owed to the Exalted
Are extracted at the point of your spears

7. And that your swords in their wrath
Have never tasted the balm of sleep

8. And that your judgments, when executed
Cut like a sword or strike as lightning

9. They fled in fear, your cavalry behind them
Not halting in their flight for a moment

10. Bewildered in darkness, they cursed
Each other without restraint

11. Until through you the path of truth was clear
And the Law and Obligation distinct

12. And seeking your forgiveness and pleasure
Became the sum of their hopes

13. So turn from them in clemency, forgiving
For forbearance is your rule and way

14. Leave them as captives on earth, for its
Length and breadth are held in your reign
