1. Glory accompanies you and victory and success
A feast day for you, clouds of favor pour down

2. So don this attire of bedecked glory, may
Neither anxiety nor boredom trouble your heart

3. And reign obeyed in what you desire for a time
The days of your kingdom in its days are caves

4. And receive the King fresh, his aspects
Blossom and bloom beautifully, his tender new plants

5. You won’t cease to be the apple of the eye, praised
Hopes come to you apologizing

6. He whose breath smells willingly yields to your merit
And whoever has hair on his cheek prostrates

7. You ascend to the celestial sphere heightened
In honor and destiny flows as you desire

8. Thanks be to God and the face of fortune is hopeful
As you wish and the heart of misfortune breaks

9. With you we cannot thank them enough
The bad days of fate are forgiven next to it

The stars, their light is hidden by the moon

12. Thoroughbreds of glory below its limit
While you reach its furthest extent and wait

13. He who reaches what you reached
Is shortened despite his long reach

14. Beneath you is a body without life
While you are the soul, the hearing and sight

15. A lofty sense gained from you
Meanings from you and forms from your peers

16. Your palm competes with dripping rain
The sea in bounty and the flower speaks of your manners

17. Never! The face of distinction is clear
Dawn does not vanish from one who sees

18. The sea and the white clouds are at your hands and have poured
And what was neither a sea nor rain has poured

19. So advance high in the sublime, your lineage enough
To protect its dignity the drawn intense sword

20. A King securing the creatures’ provisions
In his hands is benefit and harm

21. Your striving to gain glory
None but the Imam of truth can be proud

22. The whites of eyes sheathed
For other than Him they do not obey

23. Stopping the rain and holding back palms
And the fire of war flares up

24. Its nations masked
With gowns of his justice perplexed

25. Protected from the fear of old age
When old age and senility touch them

26. His sharp sword aiding Fatima
Not seized by Abu Bakr nor Umar

27. Eternity has come to it so the world saw
Above what they heard from it, what they saw

28. The claim to hear, their eyes
And many reports with him diminish reports

29. You always were a sword for Allah’s religion that triumphs
Whenever Islam wore it, it would be victorious

30. How many groups broke their pact and rebelled
You made them taste horrible betrayal and treason they committed

31. They approached you in fear and caution
Just as mules approach the lion in dread

32. You killed those present with blows and their absent
In fear whether they were absent or present

33. You made them embers with flakes from your swords leaving
No one of them remaining or spared

34. You soured in this life their livelihood
And their refuge after it is Hell

35. They fled worried would their misery benefit them
Or protect them from you their flight

36. You scattered them destitute until if Hellfire intercepted them
On its flames they would traverse

37. They repented and far from you to accept
What they prayed or sacrificed for them

38. And so you never ceased to be in every battle
Glorious, graced by favor and triumph

39. Until religion’s enlivener shone radiant
And harm and hardship left his eyelids

40. O scatterer of pearls, grace has come to the one whose praise
And diadems of pearls are strung for his crown

41. People have spoken the finest praise of you and exerted
Falling short of what they said and poetized

42. You were praised in decisive verses of the Scripture
So what can the mind’s compositions amount to!

43. Never can one claim to limit your merit, one
Whose tenth cannot describe you

44. So do not task them beyond ability and pardon
Them, they are but humans after all

45. And bestow with the arrival of the Feast of Sacrifice, O King
Whose domination the sharp swords dread!

46. Arriving, pulling the train of joy so that
He may win boundless kindness from you

47. Thank your God and praise Him for He promised
His servants increased favor if they give thanks

48. And inspire me with a draft of thought unmatched
Nearly shamed by its perfume the scented wrap

49. Excuse my avoiding prolonging it
For all excess with you is concise

50. But it has sweet words neither did
Ru’biyyah hope to match it nor Mudar

51. Had it reached them they would never again
Boast with other than it, eloquent Arabs!

52. If you surpassed all people in general
Then it surpasses what they said and versified

53. Your plains will ever be populated nor will
Clouds of blessing cease to pour on your friends

54. After the Chosen Prophet who guides, his family
No stars rose or moon ever set
