2. Do you not see that glory has adorned its neck for your glory,
As it has become a breastplate for you.
3. And generosity has become devoted to you,
So no era has passed in which you were not there.

4. You have adorned the Azaals as you frequented their plains,
With scorn in their nostrils and arrogance in their ears.

5. You have strung the pearls of prose and verse, O youth,
So their lifetime has returned to its prime.
6. And you have bestowed the stallions of poetry with necklaces,
And no wonder, for pearls come from the sea.
7. Your generosity has encompassed Najd and its valleys,
Making its rugged cliffs into plains.
8. So provide me with those sheets swiftly,
That I may do to them what rats do.
9. And no wonder, my lord, if it is recited that,
What a person hears makes his toes itch.
