1. Now my secret feelings overflow
As the companions prepare for departure

2. A downpour that torments his heart with the decision
On the day of parting, when settle came

3. He was weakened, weakened by selling his rest
For a flashing lightning in the horizon

4. Allegories of love were applied to him
Until it became a known tale

5. I greeted you, ruins of Naqa, and I watered you, O
Abode of loved ones, with pure drink

6. May the life in your ruins not be far from me
And time is on my side and my supporters

7. Those nights when youth atones for me
From the disgraces of passion

8. So now is the time for me to recoil from passion
Rightfully, and the time has come for me to desist from misguidance

9. I would not have been ruled by love
Or the pillar of my tranquility and dignity collapsed

10. How much did I obey my soul in what I did not win
Except for misguidance and loss

11. I was excessive in disobedience, but I
Hope for the forgiveness of a forgiving pardoner

12. It suffices me the good assumption about Him, and the means
Is the affection of the Prophet's pure family

13. When I saw the people had become
On the verge of the distorted religion, falling

14. I followed the Prophet's family, certain
That following them is the will of the Creator

15. And I took the approach of Abu Al-Hussein, determined
To take from it a clear, bright path

16. The best of mankind after the two grandsons of Ahmed
Is the chosen one of the chosen family

17. And the beloved of the best of messengers, and the one who became
Among the family of Ahmed, the jewel of the youth

18. The breaker of the deadly lances, and the charging
When they had no sanctuaries left but death

19. The one who sacrificed his noble soul, raising
The banner of the religion of the Overpowering One

20. The lion of evil wherever the swords and the
Spears rush with a poisoned cup for the protected one

21. Reciting the Quran stirs him, not
The beating of drums and the sound of strings

22. O Abu Al-Hussein, the prayer of a sincere slave
Whose love of you is public and secret

23. Sometimes he composes praise for you and sometimes
He cries for you with flowing tears

24. Alas! I always fall short in praising you
There is no excuse in my neglect and falling short

25. My love for you is ever renewed
And composing poetry about you is my goal

26. So intercede for me on Judgement Day, and say
This young man is under my protection and refuge

27. It does not hurt us that we have no grave to visit
Since you are among the visitors’ hearts

28. The exalted ones who were your neighbors
You left behind in the racetrack

29. They ignited the flame of glory when you ignited it
Yet you surpassed them, unharmed

30. You attained the heights and surpassed the frontrunners in
Its arena, securing all its passages

31. So if the generous ask about it and those
Seeking it remain deprived, it is from you they are deprived

32. And you protected the pasture of the religion with determination
That spares you carrying the deadly spears

33. Umayyah will suffer, it will meet its Lord
On Judgement Day, eyes downcast

34. What stake does Umayyah, the wretched tribe, have
With Prophet Muhammad? No vengeance!

35. It succeeded in killing the Prophet's son, but
It departed in manifest disgrace and ruin

36. O you deceitful plotters whom fear of God
Did not deter from killing the Prophet's family!

37. Until when, O Prophet's family, will you be wished
Killing and captivity by them?

38. They unjustly burned by fire the son of one
Who had warned them of the Fire's torment

39. And after the burning they beat his ashes
And scattered them in the flowing Euphrates

40. I constantly grieve for him, how much I conceal
From the anguish of sighs and heat of concealment

41. May He of Majesty send blessings upon him
After Muhammad and the Pure Family
