1. God forbid that one should live a life
Debased and disgraced, broken in spirit, lost,
١. لَحَى اللهُ شخصاً يَرْتضي بمعيشةٍ
ذليلاً مهاناً عاجزَ النَّفسِ حائرا
2. Dependent each day and night on another,
For your Lord, Lord of the Throne, will aid you as protector.
٢. مُرجٍّ لِشَخْصٍ كلَّ يومٍ وليلَةٍ
وربّك ربّ العرش يكفيك ناصرا
