١. وبديع الحسْنِ أَلْمَى
أَحور العَيْنَين أَحْومْ
2. I cry from his disdain,
While he just smiles at me.
٢. أنا أبكي من جفاهُ
وهو مِنِّي يتبسَّمْ
3. I almost perished from it,
If God had not kept me safe.
٣. كِدتُ أن أهلكَ فيه
غير أن الله سَلّمْ
