1. He yearns, though he is used to separation, as though
He yearns for you with a bleeding wound,
١. يرنو وقد ألِفَ الكرى فكأنّما
يَرنو إليك بمُقلتَي يَعفُورِ
2. And his tears streamed down his cheek,
As if it were musk on camphor.
٢. وانسابَ في الخدِّ الأسيلِ عِذارُهُ
فكأنّه مسكٌ على كافُورِ
