1. O bed of tranquility, what are you?
Leaning over one who spent the night awake

2. No breath ascended except
After it left with the ascending soul

3. The intimate grew weary of yearning
And inherited his state of distances

4. He became prisoner of your cheek's radiance
Which contained my suffering

5. Oh God, from the magic I saw
It made me defiant in the guise of a pioneer

6. Your eyelids are naught
But snares of traps

7. And I see your braids' loop
As the safe one from afflictions

8. So be sincere with your heart and take heed
From their guile with what I suffer

9. Or take for yourself a love
If one day you are separated, you will return

10. Of my eyebrows and of my glance
It has become for minds a guide

11. And my supporter, and in it every
Passionate crier that lacked support

12. How long did their condition make the earth
Like an inner foe full of malice?

13. A night whose stars
Were like tears that told of parting's trace

14. It did not allow me to sleep until
It made the dawn a witness

15. Surely you keep me up through the night
For long with wishes while fortune sleeps

16. And why should I exclude the trusted one
With hope, fortune, and finding?

17. I am a man whom time almost
Made neglect to plan schemes

18. And I tested it, so I saw guiding
Purpose in leaving aims

19. So I refrained from rebuking rivals and I was
Before that, not refraining

20. And I stood after stands
Of the envied in robes of an envier

21. And time - if you reconsider its recklessness -
You will find a violent coated one

22. Like the young man of prestige whom
He wants, he lures Mercury

23. That generous one with the generous
Rather, the firm one against afflictions

24. The one who made the dew
A donation on the roads of the Hima

25. And to the beautiful qualities of his poetry
The excellent ones submitted the reins

26. I mean by that Muhammad
The secret of the great glorious ones

27. Who dispersed fruitlessness as
They repelled the outstanding merits

28. Repelling from the banner
And man from what he gained, repelling

29. A house - indeed its foundations
Surpassed, so it enriched every dweller
