7. Until the water-carriers were alerted by her singing,
And the sun traveled between the shadows.

8. Thirsty, my regret was unleashed,
As they freed the light trapped in the jars.

9. As if the wine greeted the stars,
And the glass overflowed, bringing us a bride.

10. To her the breath of longing fluttered,
Together with sighs, souls flew.

11. The water of beauty streamed in her cheeks,
Her luminous brow shone like a chandelier.

12. Where wishes come true, and my brother finds
In her smile, when she frowns, a happy life.

13. The garden, fragrant with jasmine, wove for him
Garments with the hands of the breeze and branches.

14. The gatherings of dawn loved him with pearls,
And spring flowers clothed him in kisses.

15. With them, poetry wrote a message
Casting its affection to me, bringing joy.

16. The eloquence of her words almost
Refused to drift with the breeze and bend.

17. Well-crafted wonders, prose intertwined,
Leaving the race of metaphor hopeless.

18. Magic is inferior before her bewitching glance,
To portray it or make an analogy.

19. Yemeni musk is lower in rank
Than to adorn her neck.

20. A skilled artisan wove her cloak
With masterfully constructed intricacies.

21. The wise, eloquent one, who tomorrow
Will make rhetoric sprout with his ideas.

22. Lighter verses are inferior, despite their wit,
To be her equal in this regard.

23. To you, O Lord of eloquence, she comes,
Outshining even Bilqis in her beauty.

24. She is brought to you, and you have prepared
For her, words like magnetic pearls.

25. A maiden walking proudly innecklaces,
With love, she hastens the messenger to you.

26. So receive her papers and grant her
The beautiful gaze of your protected eye.

27. Greet and live on, as long as your abode
Remains inhabited, and your home so familiar.
