4. O how long have been the nights of estrangement
And yearning has set fire in my heart

5. How the lute speaks and those pledges
Have turned away my joy along with sweet slumber

6. O love, what a sorcerer of the two eyelids
Left perfume so sweet those nights in my heart

7. When it started to stir in the two cheeks
Woe to me for the softness of that adornment

8. If only we had reached and remained together
Our whispers were beautiful and regret was sweet

9. Or united us in beautiful dreams
It is not for the lover to sleep

10. Arise my master, let us ambush worries
And frolic in love, steeds of passion

11. And recall their traces after the eye
Pleasures are but like miracles

12. Do you see we luck either of the two
With despair or with union from that beauty
