1. Put me in the shape of a number
And knock the thinness with the tooth of a pen
١. لاتني في وضع شَكْل الرَقمِ
واقرع الرقَّ بسنِ القَلَمِ
2. And strive in it, you will find it a tool
Before you knock the tooth of regret
٢. واجتهد فيه تراه عُدَّةً
قبل أن تقرع سنَّ النَّدمِ
