1. Behold, welcome the coming of spring
Welcome its blossoming March

2. The birds have declared their songs in it
And the mornings have adorned in green attire

3. The flowers have decorated the meadows
And the breeze whispers its secrets

4. No longer the north wind blows
Nor the perfume of perfume sellers

5. No longer crowded squares
With flowers filling up the space

6. It has brought us pleasant company
We rose up to renew our abode

7. And no more strangers are coming
As spring has cycled through its phases

8. He who created the morning breezes
Drafting its beams of light

9. And he whose words filled the gardens
With showers caressing its trees

10. And he who drew the flowers
Waving at the banks of the rivers

11. Behold, welcome the coming of nobles
My generous brother preceding his peers

12. Noble among the generous people
His status transcended dangers

13. And how many friendly hands we have
That have tied us with their traces

14. Egypt has revealed to him a source
From which the bird of fame gets its nectar

15. And you will see his stature in excellence
Surpassing the highest stars

16. My Lord, the coming of time
Urges songs from our birds

17. And among them your praiser with lyrics
Sings odes to my Lord

18. So here are verses of poetry
Bred by the mating of ideas

19. I picked them from eloquent speech
With the aid of rhythm and meter

20. They signify the bounty of this age
And blossom with adorning its news

21. So reside herein, o Lord of joy
And be delighted by its lights
