1. O noble one, endowed with virtues and kindness
Whose excellence in the arena of merit is not hidden

2. For the likes of you, I compose this ode
And adorn the ears of benevolence with it as ornament

3. How much sway do you have in the path of eloquence
With which you have bent the branch of amity along with palms

4. To you I sacrifice, you who with merit made eyes certain
So join the highest company and extend to it a palm

5. With it you will enjoy blessings showered upon you
And sip the sweetest of wishes with it as a draft

6. And here is a man, the eye of his time
Yearning desires from the most sincere and pure

7. They bid you, the fragrance of the gardens in greeting
And spread for you from the essence of amity, serenity
