1. The blood revenge is for you, O lion of battle
None but you can remove our disgrace

It is time to unsheathe them against the treacherous neighbor

3. And throw their bodies about, scatter their skulls
We know you to arrange them, and scatter them

And the beasts of prey, and birds with their flesh

7. So rejoice, O ally of destruction, you shall soon see
A lion wherever destinies turn

8. By God, O progeny of treachery, you are not good
Rather, the vile one who does not protect his neighbor

9. Tomorrow, the singers will wail over you
When the touching of strings and instruments is mentioned

10. So do not compare yourself to those you met
Who carry swords determining lifespans

11. You think your great numbers will save you
From the might of one who did not fear crowds and multitudes

12. A star provoked, its vanguards give guidance
And in the heavens of battle you find it blazing

13. He has taken the horsemen in the fury more beloved
To the glances of the doe-eyed maidens

14. He dispels the gloom of war if darkness comes
As if his swords sparked a fire

15. His armies traversing the expanse of gravel plains
Marching as far as wherever they marched

16. You would think every white-flanked mare
In the dark of battle, stars rising

17. Led by a king vast of build, to him
Every stubborn tyrant would be submissive

18. The hero, despair, sound opinion - and he who
Has brought humiliation upon the enemy

19. Brother of generosity, resembling the Guided One, who left
To him noble deeds until the Day of Resurrection as a memento

20. Shedder of the blood of heroes in streams
And he who made the torrent of war pour in a current

21. Leave the horses whose bridles are devoid of horsemen
Beneath armor and the clamor of war burst forth

22. The stirring of resolve, determination, and reason when
A brave heart and mind in existence rose in flight

23. So say to whoever enjoyed the fury then turned
His back, the houses besides you today have become encircled

24. If he saw a palace not attained by a confidant
No kingdom of Chosroes or houses were mentioned to him

25. And if you weighed the kings of the earth altogether
They would not equal a tenth of him in war

26. He whose palm did not clench
Except to seize the bridle, spearhead and sword
