1. God's neighborhood is better than my sweetheart
For today you are my dearest neighbor

2. And whatever He chooses for you is best
Better than my own wishes and choices

3. I named you Muhammad, so rejoice, you shall be saved
Tomorrow on Judgement Day from terror and fire

4. And do not fear minor sins, for my Lord
Is merciful to elders and youngsters alike

5. So be content my soul, and rest my eyes
For this is the eternal abode

6. You were not created for any other than this
Let this be a sufficient lesson

7. It pains me to see you walk beneath the soil
Home is far though your grave is near

8. If I could ransom you with my soul or wealth
I would sacrifice and offer you my apology

9. It's just my skin, my patience is scarce
I have no companion but my sorrow

10. And my tears flow after you, so it's my companion
Oh my sorrow for you, my crying for you

11. Oh my humiliation from losing you and breaking down
Still the rainclouds weep

12. Morning and night they weep for you
The houses haven't been without you a day

13. Your stars haven't left my dwellings
The passing clouds have anointed your grave

14. And the Protector has made it your best abode
