1. The flower smiled in its verdant garden
When the rains watered it with cool water

2. The river babbled as it flowed along its banks
So the birds sang, telling tales on the strings

3. The partridges danced in it out of joy
As the morning breeze folded its robes

4. The boon companion began to sing cheerfully
Speaking of the one whose youth was described as dusky

5. He is the generous one whose abode is in the East
And his fame spreads like fragrant ambergris

6. A branch grew from the generous among people, ascending
In rank, so they left no pride for the arrogant

7. It is he whose rank is among the highest heavenly bodies
And this is no innovation, for such is the rank of the moon

8. Good fortune sent him the precious office
As a duty deemed among the finest treasures

9. It brought him honor atop honor
Like a blossoming branch added to the laden fruit

10. He took glory from his ancestors and became
Lost in grand, lofty nobility above mankind

11. All virtues gathered in his character
As pearls gather, not scattered

12. When he appears, he shows you the full moon
And when he speaks, you reap the finest pearls

13. So his eyes will never cease to be delighted
By the raiment of happiness, prosperity, and triumph

14. And God granted him in his life a
Unique mother among the women of nomads and towns

15. So that you see in him for his father a successor
As if he who was absent has returned from a journey
