1. If you possess abundant wealth then spend it generously
For the noble of people is one who gives freely

2. And do not burden your people, nor be harsh with them
Accusing and reproaching them constantly

3. For no falcon rises without its wings
And no legs bear but by their strength

4. And no winner succeeds but by able legs
And no warrior prevails unless aided by arms

5. When you butt horns and are bested not by two
Long horns make you recklessly charge

6. When your spear points are aligned no enemy
Can overwhelm or devour your weak ones

7. For the horn that gores when you butt
Is not like a horn that bends when you strike
