١. أَبي القَلبُ إِلّا أُمَّ عَوفٍ وَحُبَّها
عَجوزاً وَمَن يَحبِب عَجوزاً يُفَنَّدِ
2. And he who loves an old woman is undone
Like the Yemeni dough that is too old
٢. كَسَحقِ اليَماني قَد تَقادَمَ عَهدُهُ
وَجِدَّتُهُ ما شِئتَ في العَينِ واليَدِ
