1. We have a companion who is not of feeble tongue,
Who is silent to us, not stern,
١. لَنا صاحِبٌ لا كَليلُ اللِسانِ
فَيَصمُتُ عَنّا وَلا صارِمُ
2. And the worst of men for his family
And companions is the reckless fool.
٢. وَشَرُّ الرِجالِ عَلى أَهلِهِ
وَأَصحابِهِ الحَمِقُ العارِمُ
