1. If you are wronged, do not be satisfied
With the people until you take half, and get angry.

2. And if you are the wrongdoer of the people, reject
Their words, and make every kind of mischief with them.

3. Befriend the ignorant, and avoid the scholar,
Truth is burdensome to you from every burdened one.

4. If they are crooked, then be lame, and if they slacken,
So they feel safe from what is behind you, then be humpbacked.

5. And do not call me to injustice, and be patient with that
With which I was judging for the distant one over my father.

6. For I am a man who fears his God and fears
His threats, and I have experienced what you have not experienced.
