A unique composition, adorned with excellent structure

2. Of rajaz, but its meter outweighs
The balance of its ocean with pearls

3. And surpasses the praised one, every ocean
Our praised one is Muhammad the happy

4. The dear one of Egypt, with glory restoring
Is there any far domain in elevation

5. That he doesn’t make easy with the slightest ease
With the secret of resolve ascending glories

6. Egypt’s improvement became his whole purpose
It wandered in its sources and waters

7. And in his great mind and eternity
The eternalizing of the highest pride shone

8. When the sun of pure thought rose
It revived the spirit of Egyptian youth

9. With the wind of love of the dear homeland
Until their souls became joyful

10. And the victory of their vigilance with bliss appeared
And they met his kindness with gratitude

11. They wavered with love of the dear homeland

And they spent their finest lifetimes on it

A protected sanctuary, endpoint of safekeeping

14. And the utmost stability and fortification
A meadow, if the morning breeze shakes its branches

15. You see the pillars of reeds and lotuses
Acting on hearts like wine

16. A protected sanctuary of lofty glory for those who seek
Good tidings alluded to it as hope

17. No safe place sought it unless successful
From the distress of matters or chains

18. And from adversities and enduring harms
What a sanctuary and honored pillar!

19. Its affair and essence are praised
The speech of kings sings its praises

20. Its precious pearl crown of the time
And its Egypt is the most joyous Egypt

21. If you seek to describe it truly
The spectacle of justice in it is real

22. And it fulfilled fully the rights
And we have not ceased in goodness and dutifulness

23. O excellent ocean of loyalty and righteousness
Is a peer seen for the prince of the age?

24. Love of pride and elevation are his friend
His master, rather his supporter

25. With the aid of his All-Powerful Lord
Of magnificent demeanor reaching the peak

26. Exalted the pillar of the kingdom to the highest point
After disturbance and swelling of waves

27. With the system of rows or prose rows
And poetic rows, how beautiful after prose!

28. Pearls for a mouth or necklace for a throat
How excellent the structure of the four kinds

29. Of ranks in a supreme standing
Cavalry and types of cannons

30. And the infantry host lions of attack
And the ships above the seas flow

31. Its men have achieved its skills
Its heroes have brought out its secrets

32. Often evenly aligning its fixed pillars
And being generous with spirit for it with skill

33. And because of his glory the veil covered in exclusion
Did Alexander reach that Egypt

34. Makes tremble the kingdom of Caesar and Chosroes?
How many hearts of armies it made broken

35. And it is rare to mend after breaking
A heart that meets loyalty with composure

36. Did the past ones reach that the Nile
Specifically praises Ismail?

37. Its general benefit has become plentiful
All its nights are like the Night of Value

38. And a night better than a thousand months
Before it, was our fertile Upper Egypt

39. Entitled from bliss a share?
Our dear, his effort hits the target

40. The story of his glory is narrated to us by al-Bashir
He relates it to us through al-Nafi’ and al-Zuhri

41. His days for our glory manifest
Grandfather, ascendance and evident splendid glory

42. Blessing and felicity clear and visible
Clearer than the light of brilliant full moons

The sails of divine glory are attributed

44. The canopy of praise erected upon it
And the honest promise a tongue expresses

45. What is in it smiles from the mouth of time
From what makes the eye of the free smile

46. His descendants, through them eyes delighted
Their success realized and assured

47. And essence of glory stored for them
Extended on success every chest

48. With increase of command and order
Every generous one brings happiness

49. And begets children and grandchildren
Elevation built between high and pillow

50. No wonder we seek refuge for them at dawn
From envious one and ten nights

51. And we ask the Master attainment of purpose
For the Dawri and completion of bliss

52. Realization of hopes without count
Its seekers crowned with victory
