1. Allah has blessed Egypt, for it is the most radiant beauty
He has adorned it throughout time as the centerpiece

2. We see it through Ismail as the sweetest spring
Through which the sea of mysticism flows as orbits move

3. Through it is the most desirable, pleasurable thing - were someone to say
It is the Garden of Paradise, he would not speak false

4. It is but a maiden who steals hearts
With her combination of charm and devotion

5. The stars of the Ruler's joys shine in its sky
Like the dawn of certainty that has dispelled the darkness of doubt

6. The melodies of instruments make joyful music
As if the Jinn are playing with the lute

7. It is a playground of delights for the beautiful
As the eyes of the lovely ones flirt and entice

8. A dance performance of consummate grace
Rhythmically moving with restraint and propriety

9. How many a intoxicated girl dances there gracefully with her partner
Who treats her with utmost gentleness and care

10. And in it is one enamored of dancing with a pure spirit
Saying to the beauty, I cannot do without you

11. She sways like a supple branch, bending
Beaming with a radiance that makes her face glow

12. And were it not for modesty, religion, knowledge and piety
The ascetic's friend would say "how sweet it is to enjoy you!"

13. A gathering of intimacy, its garden perfumed
And filled with the scent of musk in every corner

14. In the air, the glittering stars creatively mimic
Missiles of light telling tales of the meteors in the sky

15. Colorfully changing like a chameleon - or perhaps describing
Jewels passing over the rock of engraving

16. And the racetrack with its steeds is adorned
By spears prepared for jousting, no doubt

17. With European order its joy has reached new heights
Lacking nothing of beauty but the pageantry of the Turks

18. And when the joys shone forth, I wrote as a historian
The Ruler's celebration graced by the royal family
