1. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds
And peace upon the Prophet, his family, and companions

2. Now, disciplining children
Is an utmost duty upon parents

3. For this purpose, I composed
Forty five verses herein

4. In about two hours, and my Master
Helped me accomplish my aim

5. Excel in dutifulness to your parents
Especially on Eid or festive seasons

6. And if you bring joy to a mother or father
One day, seeking knowledge is the best gain

7. Whoever desires high status among people
Let him adhere to good conduct and etiquette

8. And have a pure heart
With refined morals and pious ways

9. Whoever seeks elevation in this world
Let him adhere to chastity and contentment

10. Do people stoop to a content servant
Or covet a master who is never satisfied?

11. If you wish your children to shine
And see diligence from your son

12. Reward him with gifts on Eid
And promise before you threaten

13. Punish the wrongdoer for his wrong
In this world or the hereafter

14. Injustice is not left unrequited by the Lord
Every oppressor's fate leads to ruin

15. Whoever desires to gain grace
Let him be clean and neat forever

16. For it is a trait of faith
To seek it in clothes and body

17. The worst trait of a youth is anger
Which leads him to the unthinkable

18. What a despicable quality it is
To abandon it is immense benefit

19. Wilfullness along with stubbornness
Are the ugliest traits in children

20. While obedience is a noble quality
Nothing endears like it

21. Among condemnable traits
Is a child hiding a secret from mother or father

22. Be it trivial or grave, it must be disclosed
And not concealed from the parents

23. God knows all that you do
But He may delay the reckoning

24. So perform righteous deeds
To gain rectitude in state and end

25. Whoever disobeys his parents goes astray and regrets
His state worsens and guidance evades him

26. Until he repents, his deeds will not avail
And his efforts will be wasted and hopes ruined

27. A noble one's chastity despite poverty
And patience with hardship and gratitude

28. Are the best virtues for which he is praised
Ease follows and prosperity remains

29. A righteous child is loved by family
And respected by all

30. He excels his peers in school
Blessed by his teacher's care

31. A girl's merits lie in sewing and embroidery
One learned in it will excel

32. In all conditions and modesty
Which their gender must uphold

33. Being kind to the poor and weak
Shows the noble youth's refined ways

34. And fearing the Lord of the Throne, the Watcher
Protects from evil and wretched ends

35. Whoever desires his composition to prosper
Let him make people happy to remain felicitous

36. Loving for others what he loves for himself
Let him give his brother a share of his good

37. Memorizing short texts is commendable
Repeatedly, even when older

38. It settles in the mind and is not erased
Test it by dividing it, and accept advice

39. Arrogance stems from ignorance
No sensible person can bear it

40. All people despise the arrogant
He is scorned by high and low

41. Good manners and cultured ways are appreciated
The best manners are the manners of the Prophet

42. Anything besides his morals is false
Whoever adopts other ways is misguided

43. It does not befit a boy to disobey
And differ from the community

44. For in unity there is safety
Through it the youth fulfills his purpose

45. And praise be to Allah, and may Allah
Bless the Prophet and all his followers
