1. The leader of Muslims, Abu Hanifa
Has adorned the country and those who live in it

2. With rulings, traditions, and jurisprudence
Like verses on a scripture's page

3. None in the East or West can match him
Not in Kufa nor the lands of sunset

4. So may our Lord's mercy be upon him
For all time, as long as scriptures are read
