4. Where stately ships once stemmed the battle-tide,

6. While knight 'gainst knight went tilting on the plain

7. O thou, whose tent guarded a faultless pearl,

Things that seem folly from the wisest king.

18. Couldst thou behold him pondering o'er his state

21. Before him vanquished are his enemies, -

22. He is the East whence springs their gleamy day,

28. So take this robe, time's self shall wear away
