Glory to Him who made you eternal in my heart

Were they exclusively favored by God as you were

3. If you said to the full moon, am I not the one
Who surpassed you in beauty, it would not respond

4. Unite me, even in the darkness of time
Promise, even if you don’t fulfill your promise

5. How often I said to the wine cup, now that you have attained it
How happy are you with what it gave you

6. I yearned, but could not bring you closer to my passions
You kept your distance with separation, how far you went

7. God especially favored you with all
The beauty you desired, and supported you

8. He made you king of this world and its masters
And made people through it your servants

9. So judge all as you wish
God elevated you with what He entrusted you

10. And let my heart overflow with armies of passion
God aided you and lifted your hand
