1. I know that there is comfort in patience,
But my spending of patience is done.
١. وإني لأدري أن في الصبر راحةً
ولكن إنفاقي علي من الصبر
2. So do not add fire to my longing with more longing,
Seeking solace, for embers are inflamed by embers.
٢. فلا تطف نار الشوق بالشوق طالباً
سلواً فإن الجمر يسعر بالجمر
