1. My brother, today is a day of joy
A day of giving freely to the refined

2. And each person gives according to their understanding
But I am not capable of giving to your measure

3. My spirit and all that it contains, my kingdom entire
Is humble and I do not consent to giving you something humble

4. And God is pleased with praise for Himself
As repayment, and will not be pleased with less

5. And I have given my thanks and praise as a reward
Yet it is impossible that the thanks of a peer would repay you

6. But it is the effort of the weak, and what is it
That has brought you, with what is in your power, to show ingratitude

7. And our Neyrouz today we encounter anew
With new pardon for sins, thankful

8. So the Merciful has known you since the beginning
And you remain distinguished with all that is good
