1. Summer has arrived and cast off its burden in the valley,
Strengthen us, oh Lord, and make us as healthy as it,

2. And purify our hearts like its breeze,
And give us lively faith from its vineyards,

3. And let its flowers be our kisses,
Its land our harvest, its sun our hope,

4. For the Lord a shade on the valley, beautiful,
And on the plain, fragrances and radiance,

5. And from the stream, a pleasant sound,
Raising man up or bringing the sky down,

6. And the rocks, relics of a great magnificent past,
Images that preserved the faces of giants,

7. And the eagles ask the skies,
Where were the mighty?

8. And the meadows in daylight,
Which green sea?

9. And when the gentle night arrives,
Dust of flowers on the horizon,

10. And the morn walking through our dreams,
In the bushes and youth,

11. Bringing scent to us,
From cheeks of flowers and juice of fruit.
