16. And Spring has thrown over it a cloak,
In which nature's beauty is confined.

23. So he said, his eyes bulging,
โAnd this? She said, โA lover betrayed.โ

24. โI forgave this lover,
And your God forgives what happened.

28. When they awoke they confessed to her,
And a pure conscience shook them.
