1. He who busied himself with teaching
The texts of books to the son of Sheikh Idris

2. Did not lose out, for Idris attained today
A status from his sheikh, not smeared by fraud.

3. So how many nights did Mustan spend
Weeping therein, praising and hallowing,

4. O Master Ahmed, do not neglect his company
And establish a covenant with him, whatever its foundation.

5. And teach his son what you know
Of every true art without confusing.

6. And stick to the sheikh until you stand firm
Against the temptation of adorning Iblis.

7. May you bring us some benefit in his company,
For our afflicted a breath of relief.
