1. I have come to Tubaa, secure from afflictions,
And he who is afflicted by them finds safety.

2. So blessed is he who is buried in it,
And blessed is the Sheikh Khalifa because of it.

3. I neither fear betrayal nor harm,
From the treacherous fate or misfortunes.

4. I have come to a city of God that brings closer,
And purifies the hearts through its blessings.

5. It attracts souls to the heights,
And avoids lowliness and defects.

6. Vice is replaced there with virtue,
And distress relieved with joy.

7. The ignorant learns if he comes to it,
And the depressed awakens happy.

8. The intimidated becomes dignified,
And the estranged becomes a friend.

9. The weak speaker becomes eloquent,
And the harsh grows gentle and wise.

10. The Sheikh, its old servant, found rest,
And through the Sheikh's blessing gained esteem.

11. He revealed his secret in it, so it stirred,
The protectors of his secret moving through it.

12. He poured into its precincts sins,
That blessings might consume them.

13. He settled his successor in it, so he became
The healer of hearts' ailments.

14. He bequeathed him his great works,
Through which he had ruled tribes and nations.

15. He entrusted it to him and clothed him
With the fine cloak of his reverence.

16. He suckled in the meadows of his heart
A streaming breast of wisdom.

17. He carried out his legacy in character and deed,
Hitting the mark of truth.

18. O Tubaa I have come to you seeking refuge,
A captive of sins, bare and destitute.

19. I hope for what I hope from you,
For I deserve, O Tubaa, to hope.

20. My greatest desire is to reform my heart -
How many hearts have you reformed, O Tubaa!

21. To erase and forgive my sins,
While none is more undeserving of your favors.

22. Reconcile me with your neighbor when we meet,
And reconcile for the beloved, tomorrow, a beloved.

23. The prayer of God followed by peace
Upon its directions, wondrous and joyous!
